Bamburgh Village

Bamburgh is a picturesque village with quaint tea rooms, pubs and restaurants and the Grace Darling Museum is an interesting visitor attraction close by. The castle which can be admired from the rear garden, is only a gentle stroll from the cottage and the extensive stretch of golden, sandy beach for those who yearn for for the sights, smells and sounds of the waves crashing against this breathtakingly beautiful, unspoilt seashore and where Holy Island -  birthplace of Christianity, can be seen from the shoreline, is within easy walking distance.

The traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the Farne Islands - famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony - depart regularly from its harbour only 2 miles south, and where excellent horse riding facilities, an impressive 18 hole golf course on the links and tea rooms are only a selection of the amenities available.

Bamburgh is situated equidistant between the elegant Georgian town of Berwick, which straddles the salmon rich River Tweed and the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle - the ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter's Hogwarts Academy!) - both being around 17 miles away, making Castle View an excellent coastal retreat for couples or small families, conveniently situated to explore this historic Heritage

coastline, proudly acknowledged as An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
